About the Artist
Kaneohe artist Jenee Wonderlich is originally from South Korea. She moved to the United States with her military husband, Dr. Steven T. Wonderlich, in 1980. They have one lovely daughter, Lisa. Together they have lived in Alaska, Texas, California, Georgia, Europe (Germany), Oklahoma, and now permanently in Hawaii.
In each of these locations, Jenee was amazed at their unique natural settings, enjoyed their local art, and was inspired by visits to some of the world's most famous art museums.
Although largely self-taught, Jenee has had formal art training in colleges in Korea, Germany, and the United States, including Cameron University in Oklahoma.
She has participated in numerous art workshops taught by renowned artists such as portrait artists Daniel Green and Bob Gerbracht; and color pencil artists Gary Greene and Ann Kullberg.
